Dr. Wijdan Tawfiq is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Department of Fashion and Textiles at King Abdul Aziz University. She graduated from KAU’s Apparel and Textile undergraduate program in 2008 as the department valedictorian, and was awarded a scholarship to pursue a masters and doctorate at a U.S. institution of higher education. She finished her postgraduate programs in the USA (Colorado State University’s Design and Merchandising master’s program, and Iowa State University’s Apparel Merchandising and Design doctoral program). Teaching, research, curriculum development, and service have been important parts of her professoriate position at KAU
